Wet Aranet- Did I just ruin my readet?

Hello!
As the title reads- I got my Aranet4 wet. :/ I left it outside when it was not raining to get a good outside reading and then I forgot about it when I was working until I looked and saw it was raining. I think it was in the rain for a good 5 mintues. I immediately took out the batteries and put it in a bag of rice. Can my reader be saved or did I ruin it?

Hi!
If after completely drying it everythign still works, then it will be fine. Check for screen damage as that is the most probable place were the sensor would be damaged.maemaetwin

Hello!
Thank you for the reply! After I let it sit and dry and got all the rice out, it seems like there was no damage to the screen. I also did recalibrate it in case.
Would rice dust be an issue for the senor?
I had to shake the reader to get the rice that fell inside out and blew into it a in case for dust.

Hi!
It shouldn't be a big issue, but try and get all of the rice out of the device.
