Hello!
I wonder if the Aranet dry pulse counter can be connected to a IR Infrared IEC62056 IEC1107 optical probe like this for reading modern gas meters and broadcast the measurements to a base station. The optical probe is powered via usb.. but one wire (Yellow).should be for data transmissionThanks in advance.

Hi!
As long as the pulse provider can provide pulses in these parameters then, yes:https://assets.aranet.com/documents/Aranet_Datasheet_TDSPIC02_Dry_Contact_Pulse_counter.pdf
- Maximum pulse frequency 25 Hz
- Minimum pulse width 10 ms
- Minimum interval between pulses 30 ms
